Not much has changed with accounts, really. Everyone (unregistered, registered, and the "paid" accounts) can still view the ads. Registered accounts can still use the e-mail and all that. The main change is ad placement. Before, only "commercial" ads were required to have paid accounts. That was too unmanageable so now all ads have to be paid for.
