After that, they don't know if you are still you
- so you have to pay again to make sure...

I wondered the same thing myself, I was verified... then one day I was not.
Turns out you only pay for six months of "verification" at a time.
After that, they don't know if you are still you- so you have to pay again to make sure... I opted not to.
