Too bad, really.
I've worked with Mike quite a bit. He and his guys worked several jobs I supervised. You had to QC his stuff thoroughly, but I never really had any trouble with him. Liked him just fine off the job. I know there were plenty of people that worked for him that were taken advantage of/shorted/not paid/whatever.
The bounced checks don't surprise me. The insurance fraud does a little.
