What the hell is all the debate about. There's not a MSO in the country that will run or activate a 1300' drop. $2000.00 is a fair price considering all that has already been posted to make it work correctly within some type of normal standards and spec's.
Bottom line is the company isn't going to Mickey Mouse it just to give one customer internet service. So if you aren't going to pay the money your S.O.L. as far as cable goes. Your best recourse is to look into DSL.
