Qualifications

* High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred * Previous experience in standard and high-risk areas preferred * Previous experience in underground fiber and coax construction a plus * Previous experience in operating a HDD rig, Ditch Which JT9 or equivalent preferred * Previous rock boring experience a plus * Knowledge of utility depths and placements * General knowledge of underground utility construction practices * Must possess a valid Driver’s License, CDL is a plus but

Job Description

Growing Triad Area Utility Contracting Company seeks the following:

* Experienced JT9 operator to lead an underground directional boring crew

Requirements:

* High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred

* Previous experience in standard and high-risk areas preferred

* Previous experience in underground fiber and coax construction a plus

* Previous experience in operating a HDD rig, Ditch Which JT9 or equivalent preferred

* Previous rock boring experience a plus

* Knowledge of utility depths and placements

* General knowledge of underground utility construction practices

* Must be able to read and understand HFC design prints

* Must possess a valid Driver’s License, CDL is a plus but is not required

* Ability to work in various environments/settings with moderate to loud noise levels

* Equipped to work in trenches, manholes and tunnels

* Prepared to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time

* Able to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted

* Capable to use full-range of motion in fingers, hand and wrists to operate necessary tools/equipment
