Job Description

King offers innovative design/build solutions for a broad spectrum of services, including fixed wireless, macro, DAS, small cell and custom one-off applications.
King has an immediate need for Directional Drill Operator Foreman. This is a full time, hourly position, with opportunity for advancement within our growing team.
Minimum Requirements
• Must be familiar with underground construction
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
• Must have driver’s license with clean record
• Must have verifiable work history
• Must be willing to submit to drug test
• Must be willing to submit to background check
• Must be familiar with Vermeer machinery
• Must have 2 yrs experience operation HDD equipment
• Must have skill with rock boring



Job Description
Set equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machine
Perform pot holing, locating and remediation
Drill out following the predetermined drill path to the exit pit
Communicate with the locator/lead via radio to confirm the location of the drill head
Assist with the install of proper pulling gear and hook up product
Reverse process to install product
Oversee laborers and/or crew member s work and monitor time usage
Conduct post-job quality checks
Clean, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.
Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required paperwork (i.e. Bore log, vehicle maintenance reports, etc.)
Follows specifications for the job and company policies
Complies with safety procedures while driving and at job site
Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work


Working Conditions and Physical Demands
• Works in both an office and field environment
• Must be able to sit for extended periods; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk, hear, stoop, kneel and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 100 pounds
• Must have the ability and be willing to travel, as required, for job related functions
