Foreman / Operator–Utility Construction–Nationwide, Must Be Able to Travel $18.00 to $25.00 Per Hour DOE? + Travel Per Diem At $75.00 Per Day For Out Of Town Work
Position Details:
Specialized Communication Services, LLC. Has multiple ongoing telecommunication construction projects taking place in multiple states. These projects require excavation for the installation of telecommunication conduit, cable, fiber & equipment. We are currently looking for a utility / excavation construction Foreman to join our team. This position requires travel & lodging in and between multiple states.
Duties, Skills & Responsibilities:
• Must be dependable & reliable, show up on time when scheduled
• Must have clean appearance & good attitude towards crew & customers
• Must be able to review, understand & comply with plans & permits
• Must be able to follow direction from superintendent & management
• Must be able to meet scheduling needs & document added / extra work
• Must be able to fill out time sheets and production reports daily
• Must be able to load/unload and operate mini excavator
• Must use & maintain safety / personal protective equipment
• Must be able to use hand tools such as shovels, picks & digging bars
• Must be able to work with and lead crew members
• Drive 1 ton company truck with equipment trailer loaded with mini ex
• Other duties as directed and or assigned by management
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
• ?Work 8 to 12 hours per day 5 to 6 days per week
• Must be able to work overtime as needed during busy season
• Ability to understand heat illness, take lunch & adequate water breaks
• Ability to work in various outside temperatures both hot & cold
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry 50 to 60 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand and twist continuously throughout the day
• Able to work in a fast-paced work environment safely & maintain quality
Eligibility Requirements:
• ?Must Possess valid driver’s license & clean MVR
• Must have 3 years of previous utility construction experience
• Must be able to travel & stay in various Cities & States
• Must be able to pass a drug test
