Overview:
The Project Manager position is responsible for representing the Operations Division with clients on any range of subjects related to construction. The position is responsible for the overall projects day-to-day operations, staff assigned to the project, and meeting project objectives.
Essential Functions:
• Define the scope of the project with Operations and create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the work needed to successfully complete the project
• Oversees, tracks, and reports the progress and quality of work being performed by construction coordinators and sub-contractors.
• Controls any number of projects at various stages of work.
• Consults with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of construction, including but not limited to scheduling, budget, roles/responsibilities, materials management, invoicing and reporting.
• Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Compare and approve subcontractor invoices against QC'd work for accuracy and to ensure subcontractor accountability for completion and quality.
• Manages relationships with client's sub-contractors for purposes of effectively planning, managing and evaluating construction.
• Closely monitors projects to identify trends and/or risks, and to adjust/mitigate accordingly. Keeps the client and others informed about project status and issues regarding subcontractors and issues that may impact client relations.
• Carry out manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Communicates ideas for improving field processes with a positive and constructive attitude and develops this attitude in others.
Required Education and Experience:
Education in Engineering or Construction Management or 5+ years of experience in project management and 10 years of experience in OSP construction.
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
