Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced manager to lead our fiber and coax construction crews.
Requirements:
2+ years OSP managerial experience required with a major MSO i.e. Comcast, Charter, AT&T or equivalent vendor.
Strong working knowledge of underground and aerial construction techniques for both coaxial and fiber optic installations.
Good understanding of P&L and managing multiple lines of business as they relate to OSP construction.
Knowledge of MDU (multi-dwelling unit) rewire projects and commercial non-standard installation
Ability to read system prints a must, thoroughly understand plant specs and proper pole framing.
Knowledge of coaxial and fiber optic splicing is strongly desired
Duties:
Manage multiple in-house and sub-contract construction crews.
Oversee projects from the beginning design phase until completion.
Must be able to identify flaws in the design and coordinate redesign with system coordinators.
Keep MSO coordinators up to date with project statuses and foster strong working relationships.
Provide accurate as-builts to MSO upon completion of project, with accurate footage and proper placement of system devices.
On call for the production area should an emergency arise.
Coordinate with warehouse manager to manage and maintain adequate stock of all materials.
Review production reports and relaying them to upper management.
Train and develop lineman and ground hands on aerial construction techniques.
