Job Summary To perform tasks associated with theaerial and underground electronic upgrade and splicing of coaxial cable for cable television systems in an outside plant environment. • Testing, tuning and balancing equipment in order to troubleshoot a service line. • Repair or splice in new line as needed to complete the testing and certification of the project. • Place and install required coax cable when necessary to complete assignment. • Install all passive and active devices, pedestals, and vaults and coax splice cases required to house CATV equipment per customer requirements. • Train and ensure newer employees are learning and using safe work practices at all times. • Test Coax– RF lines for balanced signal between points– continuity and fault • Troubleshooting and repair of Coax line and line equipment • Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support project.

Skills/Qualifications • Preferred: 1-2 years of OSP telecommunication construction experience; cable experience • Preferred: 1-2 years of experienced in splicing, balancing, and documenting CATV systems • Practical knowledge on Microsoft Office products to include: Word, Excel, Etc. • Ability to climb poles, ladders, and use bucket trucks as needed. • Ability to work varied schedule (on call, evening and weekends as needed) • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather • Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds • Must have a valid driver’s license • Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must be able to pass drug and background screening
