• Proficient in fiber optic splicing • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word • Must pass a background check and drug screen • Valid driver’s license required

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work with customers to troubleshoot problems
• Splice single mode and multimode fiber
• Respond to emergency situations to restore service outages
• Troubleshoot fiber optic links and certify fiber optic links
• Remove and install large fiber enclosures from strand mounted locations

Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to read a fiber matrix
• Ability to understand CWDM and DWDM
• Ability to work with heights up to 40 feet
• Ability to operate an OTDR for testing and troubleshooting
• Ability to document splicing activity for customer as-builts and invoice back up

Education:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:
• Climbing poles
• Lift heavy loads
• Work in tight spaces
