Job Description and Responsibilities :
NX Utilities LLC is a leading provider of installation, construction and site acquisition services to the wireless industry. Our customers include wireless, wireline, fiber, and cable providers. With 6 office locations across the United States and workforce over 300 qualified professionals, NX Utilities is a "preferred" vendor to a wide array of telecom firms.
The Vice President plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the Operations functions of the wireline division. Responsible for the performance of all department functions.
Must have experience dealing with a construction sub-contractor and in-house model.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and approves adequate plans for the control of planned outputs, budget spending, labor efficiency, material efficiency
Reviews operational results against customer milestones and company standards
Presents weekly reports on performance, as requested by the President
Develops and promotes strong customer relationships through the execution, performance and quality of work provided from our operations to end customers
Develops and recommends operations policy within the department
Reviews and approves the setting of budgets throughout the department
Ensures that duties, responsibilities, and authority of all direct subordinates are defined and understood
Acts as a liaison to Corporate Shared Services, coordinate communication and resolutions to problems and concerns within the operations
Support organizational service strategies by developing tools and resources to ensure objectives are met
Reviews and submits reports that provide critical data to drive ongoing operational performance improvement
Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures and maintains effective internal control
Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

At least 7 - 10 years of Operations Management experience; managing large, highly-complex, OSP/ISP FTTH projects
Robust knowledge of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction, and the ability to work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation and support processes
Extensive knowledge of the cable and telecommunications industry
Well-developed management skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Proven ability to motivate personnel in order to balance profitability and growth
Demonstrated record of fiscal management, financial acumen, and human resource management techniques
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with acquisitions and integration a plus
Must possess exceptional analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Ability to travel, as required
Education and/or Experience
BS in Construction Management preferred or the equivalent; or 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
