VCI is currently seeking an experienced “UG Supervisor” located in La Mirada/Santa Fe Springs, CA.

All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.

Job Summary

Review and interpret proposal drawings and specifications
Oversees the operations of foreman and crews. Responsible for crew scheduling and dispatching and job tracking
Responsible for dispatching of Heavy Equipment transportation and material
Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements
Verify correctness of As-Built/ Red Lines from the field.
Internal Site Audits, Site Visits and Site Safety.
Interfacing with new clients/customers and maintaining a good solid working relationship with our current customer base.
Interact with contractors and field personnel regarding work completion and resolve conflicts when necessary
Responsible for the supervision of employee relations in a manner which ensures that company goals and objectives are met.
Review work and confirm its completion according to customer specifications
Ensure company policies and procedures are being followed
Verify correctness of documents from the field including Daily Work Reports, T&M Work Reports, DVIR’S, and JTSA’S, Property Utility Damage Reports, and Extra Work Reports.
Filing complete and accurate accident reports (Workman's Compensation, Auto, and General Liability), including claim resolution with homeowners
Communicates both orally and written, with local officials, company management/ staff, customers, and others
At times, may be required to perform work along with field personnel
Assigned company vehicle. Drives to remote job sites daily

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

At least ­­­­8 years of underground / utility experience
Ability to perform and/or manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities concurrently
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
Knowledge of RUS standards
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good understanding of OSHA requirements and a priority for safety
Highly organized
Strong leadership skills
Computer proficiency with Google, Excel, and Word
Must have earned high school diploma or equivalent
Must have valid driver's license

Physical demands:

Working outdoors subject to inclement weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
Stand and walk for long periods of time.
Sitting for periods of time during travel to job sites.
Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, work in close proximity to vehicular traffic.
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required by the workload
