Job Description
Overview
PRG is looking for an outstanding OSP Construction Coordinator to help assess service routes, capture necessary field information, record and draft documents, work orders, construction prints, and estimate costing for walkout validations/construction job build outs.
Responsibilities
Position will entail working on all lines of construction business, including but not limited to, commercial fiber and coax, residential, government, small/medium businesses, and enterprise construction jobs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must meet the knowledge, skills, and competencies outlined below:
Must be able to survey locations to determine closest tie point and identify plausible aerial and underground routes for service.
Must have capability to understand OSP records and design draft mappings.
Must understand outside plant design principles and telecommunication industry standards for compliance.
Ability to determine permitting, materials, and labor requirements
Capability to operate Microsoft Excel to complete walkout validation packages
May require to meet with construction coordinators to finalize cost and SOW, and provide weekly reporting to management.
Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications
Strong fiber AND coax background
Ability to meet critical due dates.
Proficient knowledge of aerial and underground facilities.
Working knowledge of Google Earth, design mappings, Microsoft Excel, and Office products.
Knowledge of proper safety practices.
Prior fielding experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must have own vehicle in acceptable condition (to be determined by hiring manager) - mileage reimbursement will be paid at standard Federal rate.
Overtime may be required at times based on volume of work.
