Qualifications
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of software, basic design and CAD understanding
• Basic understanding of telecom network routing, proposed pole line, and/or underground pathways
• Ability to comprehend public property records, land plats and blue prints is preferred, but not
required
• Understanding of OSP/ISP construction. This is to include all aspects and methodologies for fiber and coax placement, (directional drilling, rocksaw, aerial and engineering).
Job Description
• Outline proposed telecom network cabling and gather all necessary information to complete comprehensive drawings, applications, permits and other associated paperwork in order to gain approval from all project shareholders
• Develop and implement best practices for the most accurate and least intrusive methods for applications, installation and possible maintenance applications while adhering to Company and municipality supplied criteria and specifications.
• Monitor the progress of the project and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful, on-time completion of the project
• Identify easements and work with customers, Telecom and CATV Design teams, to resolve and solve issues in the field to ensure project deliverables are met
• Interface with local, city, and state officials to obtain documentation and information needed to develop a strategy that will allow for working in rights of way and easement
• Strong communication skills and follow up
• Team player, self-motivator and independent worker
• Attention to detail
• Ability to interact with clients, state officials, vendors, other departments and senior management
• Ability to handle multiple projects & tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Present professional image at all times
• Ability to think quickly on your feet and make rapid decisions
• Supervise a small staff of permitting coordinators.
