VCI is currently seeking an experienced “Quality Control Manager” located in Upland, CA.

All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.

Description

The Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for all quality related aspects of the project. Oversees compliance with client’s Quality Control Contract Specification, State and Federal Regulations and VCI’s company quality policies.

The Quality Manager assists and supports Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Superintendent on assigned projects. He/she develops plans, directs, and supervises project quality control functions and activities in conformance with the company or project required Quality Program.

Duties and Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive working relationships with craft and project owner representatives while facilitating communication of company and quality policies, procedures, and standards
Develop and implement the project specific Quality Control Plan to ensure compliance by all personnel
Manage quality control documentation
Conduct quality control orientations and quality control training for project construction staff
Develop an understanding of project specifications, drawings, and materials utilized on the project
Coordinate and schedule project specific inspections and tests, verify reports are accurate prior to submittal to client, and monitor performance standards
Issue, monitor, and close-out Non-Conformance Reports
Oversee non-conformance root cause analysis process and evaluate non-conformance trends to identify areas of improvement
Track material quantities relevant to test frequency
Provide audits and surveillance on subcontractor performed work and materials suppliers
Perform field inspections and complete reports as necessary
Address construction staff regarding quality expectations and outcomes
With the Project Manager develop the Project Punch list, distribute internally and to Subcontractors and track completion of punch list items

Qualifications and Experience

10 years of experience in telecommunications construction, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as Quality Control Manager or Supervisor
Proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project
Must possess the appropriate technological expertise to collaborate and communicate with the project team
Must have strong organizational and communication skills and be detail-oriented
Problem solver.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance
