Must have own vehicle, 28 ft ladder, basic cabling tools. Fusion Splicer can be provided if needed
Job Description
**FIBER SPLICER**
-------------------------
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Splice fiber optic cables including both loose tube and ribbon cables, and construct proper splice cases and fiber termination panels.
• Ability to fusion splice and terminate various types of fiber optic connectors.
• Experience and knowledge using Fusion splicing machines in addition to all other commonly used tools and test equipment.
• Produce slicing diagrams and designs.
Skills/Requirements:
• Must have telecommunications experience with 2+ years of splicing experience.
• Prefer candidate to have reliable vehicle, 28 ft ladder, and basic hand cabling tools, flexibility here
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment during all times of the year.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and be detailed oriented.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
