Qualifications

Associate degree; or commensurate experience relevant to the cable industry and similar in position required. Good mathematical, organizational, and problem solving skills. Field Supervisors, under the direction of their respective local manager and senior management of Mill-Tel, Inc. are responsible for supervising telecommunications routes and contract technicians. Job functions include but are not limited to monitoring routes to ensure job completion and on time arrival, warehouse management, quality control inspections, and customer service.

Job Description

Essential Daily Functions:



Expand existing projects by recruiting and on boarding telecommunications contractors while ensuring that corporate goals are met.
Ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved and sustained by concentrating on performance metrics as dictated by our customer and Mill-Tel, Inc.
Monitor “on Job” start times and stop times for accuracy and take appropriate corrective action.
Monitor daily status updates and timely route, schedule, and/or move work in an efficient and objective manner without favoritism sufficient to work completion.
Recognize, exhibit and enforce good safety and quality assurance policies as well as all other company policies in accordance with the law, industry standards, and company policy.
Investigate vehicle accidents, general liability, worker compensation, and customer damage incidents and claims according to company policy and in compliance with law and industry standards.
Ensure the proper equipment, peripherals, tags, and installation materials stocked in company and personnel vehicles to complete assigned work.
Supervise, safeguard, and timely report all issues regarding company assets, proper utilization and maintenance of those assets, and inventory control to manager or warehouse designee as appropriate.
Cooperate and communicate through appropriate inter-departmental channels to administration, dispatch, HR, operations, and payroll to facilitate completion of work and to address and inform regarding personnel and customer matters.
Supervisors must ensure that their truck and tools are in working order and in compliance with safety and legal guidelines, including all cell phones, symbols, signs, drills, meters, batteries and battery operated tools, climbing equipment, ladders, safety equipment and construction equipment.
Ensures all required personnel, payroll, and billing paperwork/data entry is timely logged, completed, and submitted by the end of the work day and equipment is returned or refreshed by 10:00 a.m. following the previous day’s work.
Ensure all assigned work is to be completed per installation guidelines for each task.
Use tools to investigate and isolate cause(s) of service interruption, tests, make any necessary repair, adjusts equipment to optimize reception, and complete repairs and work orders at new or existing job sites as directed. Quality assurance is essential.
Supervisors are required to perform their work in a safe manor, following all OSHA guidelines, particularly guideline pertaining to working aloft, as well as Company policies and safety regulations.
All work is to be completed following all cable industry standards and practices. Supervisors shall be responsible for ensuring key reporting metrics are sufficiently achieved by field personnel.
Supervisors are to be available as a company contact or monitor if delegated to ensure Installation Technicians end their day with a phone call to be released from the field and have work uploaded into the billing system. This ensures work completion and technician safety.
Responsible for using and ensuring all work is closed out through software and/or technology designated by Mill-Tel, Inc.
Supervisors are to communicate in a respectful and professional manor at all times and to foster and provide good working relations with Mill-Tel’s internal and external customers and to promote a positive attitude amongst employees.
Supervisors must help and assist in picking up jobs when needed and instructed by Supervisor or dispatch any day of the week (Sunday through Saturday), including travel to other areas.
Perform various field installation tasks assigned by your manager or the company.
