Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, must be familiar with outside plant construction, design and has excellent communication skills. Additionally, candidate must be competent in the preparation of field notes for AE, UG and ISP construction. The ability to work with minimum supervision to complete work in a timely manner is also required. Working knowledge of the following programs is preferred; Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, Google Earth, AutoCAD, and Adobe.

Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a presentable vehicle in good working condition. Criminal background and drug screening is required.

FIELD ENGINEERING
• Identify all Right-of-Way (ROW), road, railroad, pole or state permits.
• Gathers sufficient physical project information to initiate aerial or underground construction.
• Prepare field notes and gathers sufficient physical project information to initiate aerial or underground construction.
• Perform quality control inspections on completed construction
• Meet with Building and site owners do discuss installation options
• Identify addresses for accuracy and confirm coordinates data
• Identify existing construction violations
• Perform equipment installations when required, training provided

DESIGNER (Training Required)
• Experience with Spatial Design platform is a plus
• Experience in Fiber and CATV designs helpful
• Review field notes and gathers sufficient information to place designs in AutoCAD format to show aerial or underground fiber and coax construction.
• Prepare fiber designs and cut sheets for splicers
• Prepare designs for permitting.
