Job Description
FOREMAN -
Trawick Construction Company, LLC is an established communications construction firm specializing in outside plant construction services. Trawick has adapted with the changing telecommunications industry, giving it extensive experience over a broad range of services, including buried construction, aerial services, horizontal and directional boring, bridge attachments, and splicing. Currently seeking a buried crew foreman. Preferred candidate will have 3 years experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities including the demonstrated ability to successfully locate existing cable, cable placement, and excavation preferred. Valid Class A CDL preferred.
Responsibilities & Requirements :
-As crew leader responsible for accurate and timely submission of production reports.
-Oversee crew assignments, ensure all operating and safety procedures are followed.
-Operate various equipment, machinery and tools to install/repair underground cable, fiber and placement of pedestals.
-Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor such as digging holes and trenches, and working in extreme weather conditions.
- Follow all safety procedures: wear hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, approved footwear and seatbelt. Also set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers, and flagging traffic.
-Ability to read and understand work orders and operating instructions.
- Valid driver's license required, Class A CDL license preferred.
-Previous construction experience required
LABORER -

We are currently seeking Underground Cable Placement Laborers to work in Moultrie, GA. Preferred candidate will have 0-3 year’s experience within the Utility Construction/Maintenance industry. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities including the demonstrated ability to successfully locate existing cable, Cable/Pole placement, and excavation preferred.
Responsibilities & Requirements :
- Performs general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Basic knowledge of cable locating, ability to locate underground cable.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks and equipment
- Install underground telecommunications cabling
- Flagging traffic, setup safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations and policies
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc in the accomplishment of Trawick's goals
- Essential Physical Requirements include
- Hand dig holes and trenches with a shovel and other hand tools
- Climb into and out of equipment (cars, trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc)
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
- Repetitive motion with hand, wrist, feet, head, and shoulder
- Work in congested and remote areas
- Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time
- Must beable to work in small/sometimes confined areas
- Must be able to work in variable heights/depths
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50+ pounds
- Reach, bend, stoop while performing work
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
- Work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat and other safety equipment as needed
- Work in extreme weather conditions depending on geographical locations (below freezing to over 100 degrees and in very windy conditions)
- Hours/Schedules are determined based on work location and customer needs and in compliance with any regulations; on average - must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. Weekend work/Overtime is dependent on work load
