Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Operator 3 is responsible for running a variety of equipment related to underground construction in accordance with company policies and safety related procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Directional drill operation with 2020 and 3020 machines
Operate large trenchers (115) and plows
Directional drill operation on 15,000lb. machines and under, backhoe, trencher, and/or plow
Proficient in mud mixing, bore gel and locating
Operates mini excavator, skid steer, and drop trench machinery
Requirements :
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate plus 1+ years' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
1-2 years' experience drilling in both standard and high-risk areas, such as areas with live utilities
1-2 years' experience as a locator
Knowledge of highway traffic control standards
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, practices and procedures
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Knowledge of utility depths and placement
Knowledge of reading and interpreting AT&T and/or CATV design prints
CDL Required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
