Empire Telecom is a turnkey provider in the Wireless Telecom Industry. We provide real estate, engineering, construction, project management and maintenance services to major wireless carriers.
Job Description and Responsibilities :
The Warehouse Driver will ensure accuracy and timeliness of transporting orders of equipment, materials, and supplies to field locations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pick-up and deliver equipment to job sites using company box truck with varying travel times of 2 - 6+ hours
Schedule routine maintenance on vehicle for the purpose of maintaining the vehicle in a safe operating condition
Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, etc.
Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments
Load and unload specific customer equipment on delivery truck
Maintain accurate inventories and complete required follow up paperwork
Maintain a log book and comply with all DOT regulations
Maintain clean work environment on Company vehicle and in the warehouse area
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Experience:
Minimum of 12 to 18 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
DOT medical card is required
Technical Skills:
Ability to successfully complete forklift training and demonstrate the ability to operate the equipment
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 100 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
The ability to work weekends, nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
