Qualifications
• 5+ years of OSP Construction Management experience in HFC/Fiber Optic plant
• Thorough Knowledge of ISP, Virtual Hubs, and OTN equipment
• Ability to travel / work within the maintenance window as needed
• Individuals should have experience with HFC & Fiber Optic plant construction, service, maintenance, and a solid understanding of outside cable plant construction practices, regulations, and standards.
Other Requirements
• Must have strong computer skills (MS Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, working efficiently and effectively under deadlines.
• Ability to organize and control personnel and materials.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with safe driving record.
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Supervise Projects involving OSP and ISP components including node splits, node replacements, hub collapses, placement of V-hub/O-hubs, installation of Mux-Demux equipment, Optical Transport Equipment, and the splicing of Fiber and Coax associated with these types of projects. Must be able to read and understand system designs to ensure the proper construction of aerial and underground fiber optics and copper plant and enforce quality standards. The purpose of this position is to manage all phases of OSP Hub Collapse and Node Split construction projects in a manner consistent with policies, procedures, quality work standards, customer needs, and applicable local, state and federal regulations. The Construction Supervisor will report to the Project Manager on the status of construction projects and serve as the primary point of contact for the construction crews, local and state government agencies and utility companies.
