Qualifications
The successful candidate will help develop and lead a team of OSP Engineers, drafters and designers. Extensive experience in pole engineering and thorough knowledge of GO 95, EZ-Load and/or O-Calc required. The OSPEM will have the opportunity to build a successful and dynamic team from the ground floor up.
Other Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in make-ready pole engineering.
Job Description
We are a successful utility construction company with a lot of work throughout all of California. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed. The position can be based out of southern or northern CA. We have more work than our outside engineering resources can keep up with and want to develop our own in-house team of engineering professionals to handle our work load, and as time permits, take on work from other contractors. We currently have a small group of engineers on staff but we are looking for a leader to expand that group and take them to the next level.
This is a tremendous opportunity for the right person. The leader of this group will hire the staff that he or she feels they need to be successful. Staff responsibilities will include walk-out, make-ready engineering and wind load calculations, test and treat compliance and traffic control plan drafting.
The OSPEM will have direct, customer facing meetings and will keep the customer and senior manager apprised of all conditions impacting timelines. He or she will attend regularly scheduled meetings with the customer and other stakeholders as required.
