Rates & Terms provided with initial call. Position available as W-2 or 1099 status. This is an hourly position.
Qualifications
•Verifiable work history of aerial and buried fiber optic field engineering experience to include pole data collection and buried fiber construction design. Ability to determine pole make ready requirements in accordance with NESC specifications.
•A broad experience with copper and fiber derived from FFTC, FTTH, FTTX, Enterprise and Longhaul experience is optimum. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a Verizon work environment.
Other Requirements
Sound vehicle, fielding tools, and laptop required.
Job Description
•The engineer will conduct field data collection and make recommendations for proposed telecommunications cable routes and attachments, ensuring that standards, quality and safety are maintained in accordance with NESC. May be called on to draft fielded work product,and develop pole,RR and DOH permits into job package.
•The field engineer will participate in field meetings as required with electric utility and telco companies to facilitate new wireline pole attachments and buried facilities.
•Will consider both W-2 and 1099 status
