ITC Service Group (“ITC”), is seeking an experienced Bore Locator in Anaheim, CA. The Bore Locator will be part of a long-term project trenching for telecommunication services. We have work available for an Operator and a Locator, so if you have a partner you work with that does your drilling, you are both welcome to apply (preferred).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
• Assisting the Drill Operator with the horizontal directional drill in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
• Locating cables and digging in accordance with blueprints and designated plans
• Assisting with construction cleanups as necessary
Qualifications:
• Underground fiber and coax construction
• Bore machine knowledge
• Must be eligible to legally work in the United States.
• Understanding of utility depths and placements
• Construction knowledge practices horizontal directional.
• Work outside in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• All candidates are subject to a mandatory pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical exam, and must possess and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily
Climbing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Bending & Twisting - 6 to 8 hours daily
Pushing & Pulling - 6 to 8 hours daily
Repetitive Motions (grasping, manipulating) - 4 to 5 hours daily
Lifting Heavy Objects (100 lbs.) - Occasionally
Lifting Medium Objects (50 to 90 lbs.) - Often
Lifting & Carrying Objects (50lbs for up to 100 yds) – Regularly
