As soon as you can pass background and drugscreen.
Pay
Depends on Experience, location and if on Prevailing wage project.
Qualifications
Placing aerial coax and fiber cable
• String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding & Spacing Line)
• Using bucket trucks to Lash and De-Lash Existing & New Cable.
• Testing strand via OTDR and EXFO
Other Requirements
All testing and slicing equipment, trucks and other major tools are provided.
Job Description
Allstates Consulting Services is looking for Fiber Splicers to do aerial fiber splicing and fiber testing for Prevailing wage projects and non-PW work. We will consider anyone that has experience in fiber splicing, and testing using OTDR and EXFO. We have work in the Boston and Philadelphia markets.

This position is responsible for the performance of various tasks including but not limited to:
• Placing aerial coax and fiber cable
• String and maintain wire (Pulling, Fiber Splicing, Clipping, Stranding & Spacing Line)
• Using bucket trucks to Lash and De-Lash Existing & New Cable.
• Install equipment and dress pole to customer specifications using assorted small hand and power tools
Position Requirements:
• Excellent physical conditioning and stamina. Able to lift 80 lbs.
• Ability to work in a confined space and at high elevations (poles, hydraulic lift buckets, ladders)
• Knowledge of all construction tools and equipment including; bucket trucks, lasher, blocks, pulling grips, stand/cable trailers, cable layers, hoists, bolt cutters, lay-up sticks and hand lines.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to learn and incorporate climbing and general work safety requirements
• Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment Drug Screen, Driver and Background checks
