Job Description
Zito Media has an opening for a Residential Project and Outage Management Director to oversee management and communication of outages during staffed hours. This role will manage projects for the residential business. Must be able to work across multiple organizations to bring issues to resolution. Qualified candidates will possess strong technical and project management skills in the cable/broadband industry. Full-time position, working weekends (8am-4pm) and 3 weekdays (11am-8pm).
Essential functions:
• Manage all residential impacting outage activity making sure appropriate resources are dispatched and issue is moving toward resolution escalating issues as needed.
• Coordinate efforts with network operations, IP engineering, technical operations and field organization to resolve outages.
• Maintain a working knowledge of the national and regional networks to assist with troubleshooting.
• Manage projects for the residential side of the business that could be related to either customer service or technical operations functions. This could include construction or software development/integration.
• Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
• Provide current status of the projects being managed in a succinct manner.
• Identify and resolve/escalate issues as they arise.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of five years of experience in cable/broadband industry required.
• Minimum of five years of customer service or technical project management required.
• Minimum of one year of IP network and outage resolution experience required.
• Must be able to work evenings after 5 and weekends on site.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bachelors Degree in Business or technical area preferred.
