Job Description
Wiseconnect is hiring Fiber Drop Techs/ I&R Technicians in Portland, OR.
- - - W I L L T R A I N - - -
Techs will learn how to place aerial phone wire from the pole to the side of the home.
Requirements:
• Technician must have or be able to get own Truck, Van or SUV with Ladder Rack including a 28' Fiberglass Ladder
• Technician will provide their own tools to perform their job.
• Ability to measure distance from terminal to home for appropriate placement
• Strong customer communication skills - ability to explain technical issues to customers
Work Environment:
• May climb and work at elevations (e.g., from ladders, lift trucks) exceeding 18 feet
• May perform strenuous physical activities including, but not limited to: lifting objects weighing over 75 pounds
• May perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g., extreme cold and/or heat, inclement weather)
• When working aloft, employee's weight and tools combined may not exceed the 300-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer
• Must work varying shifts and hours including possible mandatory overtime, weekends and holidays
• Follow all company and client safety guidelines
• Technician will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for the position
• Lace up boots with a defined 1/2 inch heel, hard hat, Reflective Safety vest, fall resistor (harness). Safety Cones
• Other equipment may be required by local Management
