Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Good physical condition to lift over 50lbs, crawl into tight spaces, climb and work at elevations. Operate a bucket truck
Job Description
We are looking for a highly-motivated individual who enjoys working independently being outdoors, and takes pride in a job well done.
Must have:
- 2 years of Fiber Splicing experience both underground and aerial
- Prep and splice fiber via mechanical fusion methods
- Ability to splice large count fibers via tub or ribbon methods
- Preform construction of fiber and coax for either underground and aerial
- Preform testing with OTDR’s, light source and meters
- Strong time management and critical thinking skills
- High attention to detail
- Preparedness to get a Class A CDL License within first 30 days of employment
- Must be in good physical condition and able to work in tough conditions; snow, rain, extreme heat
- Willingness to work long and unpredictable hours occasionally
