Qualifications

Extensive knowledge and first hand experience with fiber optic prep, splice, test, troubleshoot. This first hand experience is necessary as you will be managing and running fiber splicers and will have to know if they're completing the work correctly and to the high standards we demand. Also, in working with customers you need to be able to comprehend prints, work and telecomm construction language completely.

Other Requirements

Have own truck and laptop. Supervise splicers to ensure HIGH QUALITY standards are being performed. Be able to coordinate, delegate, quality control and correct workers. Have strong communication skills with customers, splicers and owners of company. Be able to be responsible for and control productivity, performance, deadlines, reports and hit minimum company revenue requirements. Competent in excel, word, pdf, dropbox and overall computer skills. Pass drug screening and Background check.

Job Description

This job is the day to day management of the field techs/splicers and multiply projects and jobs. It's the laying out of plans and activities to best utilize splicers while meeting customer deadlines.

This job requires STRONG communication skills, ability to understand entire scope of job from start to finish, efficiently schedule splicers to get the most productivity and work completed, while thinking of deadlines and company revenue & costs.

You will also have to be able to roll with the on going changes and be able to re-direct splicers accordingly. Have the knowledge of splicing, troubleshooting and the problems that could arise in the field and be able to help the splicers solve problems on the fly.

You will need to get accurate updates from the splicers and be able to clearly communicate work/job updates to customers.

Throughout the day field inspections and quality control are required to ensure the work is done to not only our standards but to the customers standards. If there are errors you need to have the ability to correct the splicer and get the product corrected as well. Adhering to company policies & procedures and ensuring your juniors are doing the same is key.

At the end of the day you'll need to QC the admin turned in by the splicers (pictures, splice docs, production sheets, test results) and then build PDF asbuilds, update maps and plan out the next days work.

Additional tasks & responsibilities include:
Adherence to safety policies for self and juniors.
Professional representation of company and professional interactions with customers.
Reviews, rewards and disciplining juniors.
Solving problems with juniors and/or projects.
Morale & Team building.
Monthly vehicle & equipment inspections.

Physical Requirements can include:
-Lifting/Carrying (50-100lbs) daily
-Bending/Twisting (6-8 hours) daily
-Standing (6-8 hours) daily
-Repetitive Motion (strip/cleave/splice) 6-8 hours daily
-Walking (6-8 hours) daily
-Pushing/Pulling/Lifting (6-8 hours) daily

Compensation is dependent on applicants competency and ability. (Comp Pkg $70k-$83k range)
