ADCOMM Installations Inc., an affiliate of ACOMM Inc., provides all phases of telecommunications, build out, installations, repair and commissioning of equipment associated with Business, MDU and SFU applications is currently seeking a self-motivated, Routed, Remote I & R Trainer with ISP/OSP/Copper/POTS/DSL experience. Travel is a must.

Job Summary:

The I & R Trainer will be responsible for performing training service for new Adcomm Installations’ technicians. This positions may require travel throughout the United States based on growth potential of the organization. Individuals in this position will also train new employees on the day-to-day installation process and job completion of assigned projects while providing communication to the Project Manager and crew members. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Training:

Train new technicians to troubleshoot copper lines from the Customers NID to the Central Office, and make cross connects in the Central Office in remote locations.
Maintains Subject Matter Expertise for the program being handled by knowing up-to-date products and services, policies, processes and procedures.
Ability to teach the telephone color code, to be able to identify assigned cable pairs.
Trains Technicians to use company software to receive and complete jobs. Must be able to, understand and follow instructions on Orders, and Trouble Tickets.
Teaches technicians to install and maintain basic telecommunication services.
Facilitates OJT, to transfer knowledge of the installation and repair of ISP/OSP/Copper/POTS, DSL, VDSL and Bonded DSL services.
Provides feedback to the Manager to identify gaps in training and other areas of opportunity.
Run Routs and complete OJT with new employees.
Trains technicians on installing NIDS, protectors, splitters and grounding.
Educates technicians to locate telecommunication cable.
Instructs technicians to splice and repair new and existing telecommunication cable.
Teaches troubleshooting from the pedestal to the customer premise including repairing inside wiring and placing new station wiring as necessary.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning telecommunication cables using testing devices such as meters and analyzers, to locate and the diagnose nature of the problem.
Provide required general safety training and communicates training to the Project Managers.
Other duties as required.

Experience working with telecommunication MSA contracts is strongly preferred.
This position also requires good computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Outlook and Excel, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Out of town travel required as well as on-call availability.
The successful candidate must hold a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily
Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily
Bending/Stooping - 6 to 8 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping) – 6 to 8 hours daily
Lifting (weights up to 100 lbs.) - Occasionally
Lift and Carry (50/60 lbs. for 20 feet) - Regularly
Push / Pull – 6 to 8 hours daily

Compensation:

Competitive labor rates and incentives.
$100 per diem per day for 5- 6 days
