Job Description

Aero Communications provides outsourced cable installation, construction maintenance and project-based wireless infrastructure services to large cable and telecommunications companies throughout the U.S. At Aero, we pride ourselves in promoting a culture that challenges and engages each of our employees. In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cable, phone, internet and security services. We offer classroom and on the job training for those looking to learn a new career. Experience is a plus, but not necessary. Responsibilities:

• Install aerial and underground cable television and telephony for residential and commercial customers including internet services, digital phone service, TV and security systems, network wiring and wireless communication platforms per broadband industry standards and specifications.
• Provide excellent customer service to all customers. Resolve any customer issues. Educate customers on products, services and equipment operation.
• Maintain consistent communication with both Aero and our customer’s dispatch centers.
• Perform cable installation from tap to ground, ground block into home and from inside home to terminal device, digital converter and/or television.
• Complete all paperwork including work orders, warehouse inventory sheets, daily and weekly billing sheets.
• Return all unused equipment to warehouse daily.
• Submit required equipment documentation to warehouse to complete daily work.
• Troubleshoot RF, data and telephony including proper use of multi-meter, signal level meter and computer operating system repairs.
• Perform post wire installation of additional outlets.
• Operate our company vehicles safely and keep them in good condition.
• Maintain equipment and follow procedures for reconciling all items issued.
• Operate hand and power tools, ladders, televisions, signal level meters, volt meters, converters, cable locators, leakage detection devices and test equipment.


Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior cable installation experience is a plus.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of multi-meter, RF signal level meter, computers and the Internet.
• Able to complete paperwork accurately and on time.
• Able to lift 85 pounds frequently.
• Able to work outside in all types of weather.
• Able to lift, handle, and carry 80-pound ladder.
• Able to work at heights of 3-25 ft.
• Able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb, and lift throughout each day.
• Able to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Microsoft Office computer skills.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
