Experience Required 1. Five years in Construction Management preferred 2. Ten years field experience in CATV/Telephone Aerial and Underground construction. 3. Must have experience with cable plows, cable trenchers, missiles, horizontal drill, excavators, fiber blowers, fiber pullers, and all phases of aerial construction.

Other Requirements

Prefer local candidate who has local and statewide affiliations and is familiar with local government,city and county regulations and requirements. Also, familiar with local labor markets and other resources.

Qualifications
• Knowledgeable in both CABLE TV AND TELEPHONE and their specifications.
• Working knowledge of directional drilling and fiber placement of any method.
• Accurate understanding of field design prints, fiber splicing, and engineering.
• Thorough understanding of Telecommunications construction and supervising construction projects.
• Robust knowledge of inside and outside plant both coax and fiber, fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design and construction, and the ability to work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation and support processes
• Well-developed management skills
• Must have the ability to interface with office and field personnel, customers, general public, other management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to motivate personnel in order to balance profitability and growth
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills
• Must possess exceptional analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Ability to travel, as required

Summary of Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, manage, and complete to customer satisfaction and specifications all work placed under your control.
• Lead, direct, coach and motivate all crews working with jobs under your control with all aspects of their daily duties such as, prepping for day, routing, field assistance, paperwork, etc.
• Verify accuracy of daily reports, truck mileage, equipment hours, receipts, footages or items claimed, and billing (footage, items, hours and adjustments). Verify that all daily material usage sheets are accurate.
• Monitor and preform safety inspections, both surprise and scheduled on all trucks, trailers, and equipment as needed.
• Conduct crews in a fashion to display safe productive days while maintaining a quality job.
• Perform inspection of QC work: inspect QC records (gig sheets) and insure QC is being performed accurately. QC jobs under your control when needed.
• Coordinate construction projects with utility personnel, clients, customers, contractors and governmental officials. Set up and attend meetings as required.
• Apply for and maintain legal dig dates on all projects in your control. This includes white lining all jobs and confirming locates prior to crew being scheduled and staying ahead of production crews.
• Notify our office and our clients of any delays and/or changes with a job that is previously scheduled.
• Maintain an up to date pending list.
• Monitor, order, and stage all material for jobs under your control.
• Monitor customer relations, including, but not limited to addressing customer issues, successfully resolving all disputes, and working to locate any private utilities.
• Perform manual labor as needed to assist office, warehouse, and crews.
• Coordinate with other managers to ensure safety meetings are held and documented along with preforming weekly tool box meetings.
• Perform other related duties as requested from superiors.
