PRG Construction Project Management - a division of Project Resources Group, Inc. is seeking a talented, experienced, and driven OSP Overhead Utility Pole Surveyor to join our team in the Buffalo, NY market.

Responsibilities:
The position will perform joint utility survey walkout negotiations advocating for cost effective rearrangement (make ready) of existing utility for pole attachment of Spectrum/Charter Communications facilities within the communications space of each pole application.

Responsibilities include:
Performing functional spatial calculations, in the field, as related to the safe installation of Spectrum/Charter Communications overhead facilities according to NEC/NESC.
Ensure safe and cost effective pole attachments of Spectrum/Charter Communications facilities.
Review make ready charges from each utility, comparing costs of alternative cable placement; for example underground dip, the setting of new poles or revised facility routing.
Inspecting new pole attachments for compliance of granted pole licenses with regard to attachment height and NEC/NESC clearances.
Perform post construction inspection (QC) of Spectrum/Charter Communications coaxial cable, fiber optic cable and power supply installations, as directed by Spectrum/Charter Communications.

Qualified candidates should meet the following requirements:
5+ years in cable construction including copper and fiber
Strong awareness to correct existing pole space utilization and clearances
Knowledge f NEC/NESC guidelines
Must have the ability to negotiate with utilities, perform clearance calculations for buildings, rail, highway, farm field access, and pedestrian traffic. Must have a valid Driver's License and appropriate insurance as directed
Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programs.
Candidate must have own vehicle in acceptable condition (to be determined by hiring manager) - mileage reimbursement will be paid at the standard Federal rate.

Qualifications:
Overtime will be required at times based on the volume of work.
Some travel may be required. Less than 25%
