Job Description

Work is available immediately for motivated and knowledgeable fiber optic and/or coax technicians with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

For well over a decade, we have operated as a maintenance/emergency repair contractor overseeing an area from north of Baltimore, MD down to Norfolk, VA, with the majority of work in the DC vicinity. When there isn't splicing work going on, we need the individual to be involved in placing underground innerduct and performing site walks (ISP & OSP) as well as utility mapping.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be cleared for legal work status.

Local candidates preferred. All are welcome to apply.

We have been an engineering, splicing, and innerduct placement company in the Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland region for over 15 years. We utilize Fujikura FSM-50S Fusion Splicers, Exfo 920 MaxTest PMs and CMA4000 OTDR's.

The splice work is typically scheduled at least a week ahead of time during a maintenance window (12a-6a); although, things can (and do) change at the last minute.

We also maintain emergency response contracts, therefore we must be mobilized and/or in the field within 2 hours of receiving notification (24x7x365). We supply all tools.

During projects, communication happens over a "bridge" or conference call. One must be able to communicate, think clearly, and respond in a professional and prompt manner. The work is primarily during the week, although there may be an occasional need to work over a weekend. We work to the needs of the job at hand, so flexibility and availability are important.
