Hourly pay with OT. We also have Prevailing wage work paid at the higher rate for Communications Linemen.
Qualifications
Must have previous experience running strand. Fiber, Coax or Power experience is acceptable. Must already be in the general Boston area. We will consider relocations but the comapny will not provide any relocation assistance.
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass a criminal background, Motor Vehical record check and drug screen.
Job Description
Allstates Consulting Services is looking for people with experience as a lineman or ground man in the Telecom or CATV telecommunications field in the greater Boston area. You must have the ability to work in a team environment to accomplish goals. You also must be willing to travel, work in the elements, pass a drug/background check, and physical for a medical card. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person if you are hardworking and self-motivated.? We are willing to train people who have an electrical or installation type background.
This is for steady OSP work in the north east, some travel is expected. Some of this work is Prevailing Wage. The work is currently west of the Boston area. When overnight stay is required company will pay for hotel and provide $30 a day for meals.

Weekly pay!
Lineman jobs include placing, rearranging and removing poles, lines, open wire, drop and block wire. You'll work with cables and conduit to perform maintenance on outside plant equipment. You might also be called upon to work on cellar equipment or cell towers. As a lineman, you'll install lines and cables (including fiber) using construction equipment to dig holes and bury cables. Most often, you'll work outside as part of a team performing installation, maintenance and repair on facilities that start from outside the Central Office (CO) and stop at the terminal or at a customer's building. You'll also inspect previously installed infrastructure to make sure it's working properly. In some companies, the Outside Plant Tech/ lineman job description includes the activities of Cable and IM&R Techs too. Overtime is typically available.
