Job Description

Safety/Asset Supervisor

Locations: Georgia/South Carolina/Mississippi/Alabama

PURPOSE:

Regularly ensures proper alignment with corporate safety programs and protocols.
Be proactive in the establishment of safety goals and objectives which set Prince Telecom, LLC apart as the employer of choice and coordinate safety training an
d safety communication platforms designed to prevent accidents.
Monitor safety regulations established at the corporate level and provide technical support to field personnel to ensure compliance with all corporate, Federal and State safety regulations.
Develop measures to identify and report trends to ensure requisite focus of effort is achieved as necessary to meet and exceed all safety and training goals and objectives.
Active participation in investigations of all vehicular and workers compensation accidents to determine cause and effect of accident and report same to the Corporate Safety Director. Develop recommendations to reduce and/or eliminate future accidents.
Travel to the listed locations on a regular/consistent basis. Would include travel to other locations as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT

An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or Field policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required.
Travel to all systems regularly.


SUPERVISORY SITUATION,
System Safety Supervisor reports directly to the Corporate Safety Director while maintaining a dotted line reporting structure to Project Managers. This person will work closely with the Corporate Safety Director/ Director of Assets.

Safety Essential Functions

Supervisor will be responsible for the safety and well being of all employees within their assigned system.
Supervisor will be responsible to ensure Drive Cam review is completed on a daily basis.
Supervisor will be responsible to ensure the Prince Telecom, LLC Safety Program is being followed in the system.
Supervisor will ensure that their system possess the proper safety equipment and is using this equipment appropriately and report concerns immediately to local operations management and the Safety Director.
Supervisor will ensure regular PPE and vehicle inspections are occurring for their system.
Supervisor will have the ability to provide necessary training to Cable Technicians, installers on all safety procedures relating to their job.
Supervisor will conduct regular safety inspections Job Safety Observations (JSO) at their system and submit reports to the Management Team, Senior Management and the Corporate Safety Director.
Supervisor will participate in all vehicular and workers compensation investigations.
Supervisor will provide required updates to the Corporate Safety Director on a weekly basis.
Supervisor will ensure that weekly safety meetings are occurring and proper documentation is being filed, such as attendance rosters in all cases.
Supervisor will participate in weekly/monthly conference calls for insurance claims reviews.
Supervisor will ensure each location is properly maintaining and posting required OSHA logs.
Supervisor will perform required monthly office inspections and provide documentation to local management and the Corporate Safety Director.
Supervisor will provide timely/immediate updates of any unsafe work acts to the Project Manager and Corporate Safety Director.


Quality Control Functions

Supervisor will be in compliance with Customer requirements for their system when conducting field JSO’s.
Supervisor will provide weekly feedback on “JSO’s” inspections.
Supervisor will interact with system supervision and management to emphasize areas of need from inspection quality issues in the field.
Supervisor will establish fair rotation of inspections to ensure all installers within their system are being checked on a monthly basis.


ASSET FUNCTIONS:

Track and ensure all Vehicles are being properly serviced and Safe, Issue PO’s on all approved repairs, Making sure Vendors are using agreed upon pricing. Developing relationships with Vendors.
Tracking All Asset’s, Meters, Computer, Tools. Up-dating Astra, Drive Cam.
Performing Field Audits. Accounting for all Assets.
And other duties as assigned


MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS:



Performs other tasks as assigned by the Corporate Safety Director/ Corporate Director of Assets.
