Qualifications

3+ years in cable or fiber optic construction. Experience with cable/fiber residential and commercial drop installation practices for both underground and aerial applications. Must be able to read and mark up print maps. Able to use tablets and/or smartphone in the field to collect construction notes. Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs Strong written and verbal communication skills Candidate must have own vehicle in acceptable condition (to be determined by HM)

Other Requirements

Overtime will be required at times based on the volume of work. 70% field work.

Job Description

Overview:
Construction Coordinator is responsible for conducting quality control inspections and monitoring of fiber optic drop placement projects throughout the Kansas City Area.

Responsibilities:
Complete post installation quality control inspections and report on findings for completed fiber drop projects.
Identify QC trends and recurring issues to improve installation quality.
Conduct live, in field QA inspection of contractors to drive production, construction quality, and customer satisfaction.
Validate contractor invoicing and redlines.
Complete red light testing of fiber as needed.
Anticipate constructability issues in slightly complex situations and create solutions in the construction plan and schedule.
Required to perform administrative tasks such as issuing work orders, assembling BOM’s processing permit requests, and preparing quotes and cost estimates.
