There are multiple ways this position can be staffed, employee, 1099, and various expense situations, vehicle provided, use own vehicle, etc. so compensation will be handled on an individual basis.
Qualifications
A CATV OSP background is preferred. knowing the architecture involved in the HFC network is a huge advantage.
Other Requirements
Depends on employment situation - height sticks, laser measuring device, measuring wheel, smart phone, and laptop are all required.
Job Description
You will be provided with work orders requiring a walkout for both commercial and residential locations. Your job is to visit the site, determine what company facilities are close, whether the site can be services with or without additional construction, and in the case of construction compile a cost estimate. All of this information is submitted in a standardized format utilizing system maps and various reporting tools. A detail oriented person is required to ensure accurate estimates. A creative person is required to maximize the opportunity and look at the situation from all available perspectives. The right person for this job can drive him or herself to meet time deadlines while maintaining accuracy and good customer service skills with internal and external personnel.
