This position is responsible for the overall management of CATV field installers for a Norfolk based Cox Cable Contractor. MUST HAVE HAD PREVIOUS CABLE TV OR SATELLITE Supervision EXPERIENCE! Develops strategies and plans to ensure cable installs, disconnects and service upgrades are performed. Selects, motivates, trains, evaluates, disciplines subordinates as required. Manages CPE inventory. Ensures a customer focused orientation and that customers are treated with courtesy at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Screens applicants, interviews, and hires employees. (Support will be provided by the corporate office)
* Ensures competence and continuity of qualified Installers through optimum training, development, performance appraisals, motivation, and salary change recommendations.
* Ensures that technicians effectively and efficiently, implement "per required contract specifications"
for residential installations.
* Ensures a customer focused orientation and the customers are treated with courtesy at all times.
* Ensures all activities relating to installation and audit operations are performed in accordance with company policies and FCC, State, local and OSHA standards.
* Maintains required tools, equipment and material levels through effective planning, assists in ordering and conservation of physical resources to ensure optimum productivity levels.
* Provides appropriate training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and associate morale.
* Additional duties as assigned.
* Additional training as required throughout the course of employment.
* Lift Up to 65lbs.
* Comfortable working on poles and ladders.
* Comfortable working outdoors and in attics

This position reports to the Regional Operations Manager and VP. This position manages the Supervisors and the Installers.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Some college is preferred. Must be highly self-motivated. The following is "MANDATORY:" A minimum of 2 - 3 years CATV and/or Satellite installation, technical or construction experience is required, including knowledge of SCTE, FCC, OSHA and NEC regulations. Must provide your own truck, Van, or SUV capable of carrying a 28' span ladder. Current registration & insurance is required. Must pass a drug / background screening. A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience is needed. Pole climbing ability and experience with various meters and hand tools are necessary. Good computer and software skills are needed, including word processing and spreadsheets. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects. Must have the ability to work flexible hours as required, including evenings and weekends. A valid Virginia Driver's license and a good driving record is Required. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are necessary to interface effectively with staff, the client's department management and various other internal and external parties. 401K, PTO, Health Plan as well as optional Life and Dental.

Working Conditions:

* No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
* Evening, weekend, and overtime hours may be required

Machine/Equipment/Tools Used:

General office machines such as personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, telephones, etc.

Software: Must be proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Word, Excel, Exchange, Outlook, Basic inventory programs must be learned.

Safety Equipment/Tools Used:

All OSHA required safety equipment specific to this job.
