Competencies
Previous construction crew leadership experience is required with preference given to those with aerial and/or underground construction backgrounds.
Fiber and coax construction experience are required.
Directly supervises 15-20 employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance;reward

Overview:
The OSP Construction Manager position is responsible for representing the Construction Division with clients on a range of subjects related to the project including construction, splicing, permitting, material management, quality assurance, network performance and customer issues. The position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of a full system upgrade in a major metropolitan area.
Responsibilities:
Oversees, tracks, and reports the progress and quality of work being performed by contractors and construction coordinators.
Consults with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements of construction. Ensure clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.
Schedules the project and drives performance accordingly to meet production targets.
Communicate ideas for improving field processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others.
Keeps the client and others informed about project status and issues regarding subcontractors and issues that may impact client relations.
