Job Description
Will handle the day to day operations of aerial and underground outside fiber plant (OSP) to include: Engineering, permitting, contracting, designing and maintaining of new building adds and existing fiber.
Will be required to manage and work with all engineering and functional support teams.
Will meet with contractors, right of way, customers, and other OSP engineers to coordinate/mitigate projects.
Must ensure the workflow and customer deliverables and mitigate timelines are being met.
Manage group leads.
Oversee the the QA/QC processes and permitting services.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Must be able to prepare bid responses that includes: estimates, schedules, project tracking.
Utilizes a variety of systems for the processing and reporting of work activities, documentation of projects.
Skills required:
5+ years of directly related project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Expert knowledge of OSP Engineering and Construction.
Knowledge of underground and aerial line engineering/construction.
Must be self-motivated and able to accomplish objectives with accountability.
Ability to analyze problems and determine resolution in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Results driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to multi task while managing the team.
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals, teams, manager, supervisors and external clients.
Must be computer savvy in working with the Microsoft Office Suite of Tools, especially with MS Excel
