Qualifications

•Education: High school diploma or equivalent. AAS in Civil Engineering preferred •Computer competency with Excel, Word, GIS mapping programs and management software •Three to five years of experience with construction civil and utility permitting •Able to read and interpret design, structural and mapping documents inclusive of Civil, Power and Communication •Three to five years experience in the construction, utility or telecommunications industries

•Must possess project coordination skills, ability to make decisions, and ability to work with a limited amount of supervision and manage multiple projects and activities •Ability to create and present progress reports •Ability to complete all deliverables required for permits •Ability to positively interact with local, state and federal entities via correspondence and in person •Must have strong communication skills to include written and oral •Valid driver license/satisfactory driving record

Job Description

Grande is searching for a Permit Make Ready Coordinator in our Austin, Texas market. This position is responsible for preparing permit applications for submittal to the appropriate governing utilities and for coordinating, tracking and documenting discrepancies to facilitate established build schedules.


In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:
•Submits construction permits for civil, utility and communication entities to meet or exceed project timeline expectations.
•Secures and maintains a positive rapport with all governmental, utility and communications entities and agents.
•Tracks progress and completes follow-up tasks to keep timelines on schedule.
•Creates and provides solutions to issues as they arise. Redirects deliverables to outside engineering firms as required.
•Apprises manager of critical items to project flow and negative cost impacts.
•Creates and presents progress reports as requested.
•Procures required documents and materials for submittals and project closeouts.
•Completes site visits and attends meetings as required, whether remotely or in office.
•Creates, maintains and updates permitting requirements and processes.
•Creates and completes correspondence as needed.
•Drives a company vehicle in the course and scope of performing duties.
•Other duties as assigned.
