Coax Splicers Need

Job Description
Urban Cable Technology, Inc. is seeking experienced Coax Splicers to join our team of industry professionals. Take your career to the next step with us! We are looking for subcontractors. Must have own tools and transportation.
We currently have multiple opportunities in PA (Chester County, Bucks County, Montgomery County, Delaware County) and DE (New Castle County).
Coax Splicer Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications
Cutting passes
RF Technology
Forward-end return signal
Coax – RF lines testing for balanced signal between points – continuity and fault
Troubleshooting and repair of Coax line and line equipment
Activation of a RF line and signal
RF interference detection
Final certification of a RF line and correct signal balance
Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support project
Splice overhead coaxial cables, underground experience is welcome but not required
Climb utility poles and utilize truck-mounted lift buckets
Cut and prepare coaxial cable prior to splicing and prepare electronics
This includes ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, working from engineered blueprints, and keeping track of production.
Climb poles to complete daily construction assignments as needed.
Field train and control/oversee the work of other Splicers when necessary.
Resolve complaints with property owners in areas that you’re working. (Talk to residents & explain what it is we are doing).
Fill-out daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built.
Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
Possess a valid driver’s license (class "C" minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position (possibly class "B" - light commercial).
Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
Must demonstrate proficiency as a pole climber.
Must own all required hand tools and climbing gear needed to perform the daily functions of the position.
Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift.
Must be able to pass background and drug screen
