Position Summary
The Project Supervisor is responsible for over-seeing the complete life cycle of small to moderately size projects in the Cable TV industry, including planning, estimating, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are successfully achieved and in a timely manner. Would be responsible for all
company construction projects in the Dallas area.
Responsibilities
•Develops and stays within budgets, timelines, and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracks critical project achievements.
•Will handle the day to day operations of aerial and underground projects.
•Will meet with contractors, right of way, and customers to coordinate/mitigate projects.
•Ability and willingness to be on call and to respond to network outages and emergency restoration activities.
•Works and maintains relations with subcontractors / customers to establish and achieve goals.
•Acts as the single point of contact for project status, by maintaining communication with company and customer management.
•Supervise all assigned projects to completion and ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
•Oversee that all aspects of the outside plant function on-site are performed in a diligent manner (staffing, scheduling, and on-site training)
•Supervise project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings, and use of current internal system.
•Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting outside plant personnel assigned to the project.
•Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while having oversight of those responsibilities.
•Ensure all project related invoicing is done timely while adhering to the company’s and client’s processes.
•Conducts regular project team meetings to action items and project schedule.
•Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision.
•Assist in the creation of invoices and ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
1.Minimum 5 years’ progressive project supervisory / management experience preferred.
2.Knowledge of underground and aerial line engineering / construction.
3.Knowledge of AT&T practices and procedures is a desired plus, due to anticipated future direction and growth.
4.Knowledge of local permitting regulations is desirable.
5.Strong knowledge in telecommunications.
6.Thorough knowledge and understanding of project management.
7.A balance of strategic vision and hands-on experience.
8.Strong leadership and team building qualities.
9.Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to motivate and direct people.
10.Energetic, dynamic, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
