Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the daily management and reconciliation of owned or consigned inventory stored in the field locations. This position oversees materials, equipment, and supplies by directing and receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
Completes weekly reporting to reflect material requisitions and usage
Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments and oversee the maintenance of an accurate inventory log
Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
Maintain service schedule of fleet for the assigned location; Fills out truck maintenance log on a weekly basis
Delegate to warehouse staff and/or pull and distribute materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill requests
Delegate to warehouse staff and/or and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information
Manage the daily tracking and management of equipment
Load and unload specific customer equipment on delivery truck when applicable
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes
Ensure that a clean work environment in the warehouse area is maintained
Collaborate with Risk and Safety to ensure the location is in compliance with all safety (OSHA) and injury reporting
Utilizes material handling equipment such as forklifts, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Job Duties:
Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with the executive team to resolve escalated employee matters
Requirements :
Education:
High school diploma plus 3 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory position
Knowledge of underground construction equipment
Technical Skills:
Ability to successfully complete forklift training and demonstrate the ability to operate the equipment
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 100 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
The ability to work weekends, nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
