Job Description and Responsibilities :
Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for all operations in the local office while performing work for DirecTV. This will include managing workload, performance metrics, P&L responsibilities and the overall success of the operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Oversee business financials and provide reporting to management
-Supervise lower level managers, warehouse, and field personnel
-Responsible for maintaining building facilities, fleet, and equipment
-Assist business development and management teams with initiatives/projects as assigned
-Direct work to meet customer and company specifications
-Ensure that company policy is adhered to with respect to, but not limited to, safety, fleet, etc.
-Monitor the performance and achievements of the employees
-Assist with work overflow
-Responsible for all safety, schedule and quality issues
-Establish and manage all aspects of the Local Office operations to ensure annual profit targets are achieved
-Provide all sales-related functions to our local customers to ensure annual sales targets are achieved
-Provide hands-on project management for all projects
-Manage weekly and quarterly Local Office Safety Meetings, per established procedures
-Manage weekly operational meetings
-Evaluate and select local subcontractors in accordance with established procedures, the applicable Codes and Standards and customer needs
-Oversee operating procedures within the Local Office in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
-Manage roles and responsibilities for all employees
-Establish and arrange to provide adequate training for all employees

Supervisory Responsibilities
-Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

-Strong understanding of Selling, General and Administrative Expenses (SG&A), Profit and Loss Statement (P&L)

-Must be highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with the ability to meet strict deadlines

-Must be self-directed, results-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, continually changing environment

-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Project, Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

-Ability to travel, as required


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
