Job Description and Responsibilities :
This position is responsible for providing strong operational support to the Project Manager and construction crews.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare estimates by calculating a variety of statistical data (quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour, equipment costs, etc.) and apply estimates to complete scope of work
Review historical data and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates
Analyze plans, specifications proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates and packages for projects
Utilize project management tools to track and monitor multiple projects, report progress, and prepare client pricing
Perform take-offs, interpret blueprints, complete job walk-outs, and develop work breakdowns
Responsible for day-to-day project level customer communication
Obtain workload from customer or site visits and preplan the equipment and/or labor required for the project and work with data collected to produce construction documents
White line the project to prepare for locates
Review and inspect damages and furnish appropriate reports/documentation to Risk and Safety
Prepare new job packages for active and new projects for customers
Assist with preparation and submittal of close-out packages
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Education:
Associates degree or equivalent of 2-4 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry
Understanding of construction methods and materials
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Strong organizational, administrative, interpersonal ,verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills; must be able to meet deadlines
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs.
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
