Qualifications
-Must have at least 1 year experience;
-Must possess a valid Driver's license, with a clean driving record;
-Must be dependable & have reliable means of transportation;
-Must be able to work in close proximity to vehicular traffic;
-Must be able to stand, stoop, walk, kneel, & crouch;
-Must be able to lift, carry, & place heavy objects;
-Must be able to read, understand, & follow company policies/procedures;
-Must be able to pass background check & drug test
Other Requirements
-OSHA 10/30 Card a plus;
-First Aid Certification a plus;
-CDL license a plus
Job Description
-Ability to read prints and familiarity with stakes and the identification of marked utilities
-Have knowledge of utility depths and placement
-Setup and cleanup of work site including traffic and pedestrian control.
-Operate Subsite locating equipment to locate underground utilities, safely, in standard & high-risk areas
-Assist operator to ensure proper bore rig setup
-Inspect work environment or equipment to verify that no hazardous conditions exist
-Notify construction manager of unanticipated field changes immediately
-Work in a team environment to achieve desired objectives
-When drilling is completed or not available, must be able to assist crew members with manual labor, to include
placing underground conduit(s), setting hand holes, pulling fiber, etc.
-Abide & follow company policies & procedures
-Adhere to company & OSHA safety standards; participate in all safety training meetings
-Drive truck/trailer with equipment to job sites, when necessary
-Inspect trailer/equipment prior to & after use, including checking tire pressure & fluid levels to ensure their safe & proper operation
-Be able to modify work schedules to adapt to ever-changing construction deadlines, delays, and weather obstacles.
-Other duties may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
